Burn Ban: Effective today 06/10/2021, there is a burn ban in the Town of Linn, by the authority of the Town of Linn Board, and will be enforced by our police department.  If someone is caught burning they can be fined up to $1,300.00 (for violation of Town of Linn Code 6-13 (C). It is effective until further notice.  This means no open burns, campfires, fireworks, or anything of the like anywhere in the Town of Linn. 



Due to the current public health emergency, the April 21, 2020 annual town meeting has been postponed.  


Under new 2019 Wisconsin Act 185, if the town board is unable to promptly meet, the town chair may postpone the annual town meeting to a date that is not during the period beginning on the first day of the public health emergency declared on March 12, 2020, by executive order 72, and ending 60 days after the termination of that order. 


It is anticipated that the annual meeting will be rescheduled before the end of the calendar year 2020. In accordance with Wis. Stat. 60.12(3), the Town will provide notice at least 15 days prior to the rescheduled meeting.
