Regular Town Board Meeting-Monday, January 11, 2016-7:00 pm- Linn Town Hall

Chairman Weiss called the meeting to order at 7:08 pm. Present at roll call were Weiss, Supervisors Rasch, Palmer, Clerk/Treasurer Polyock, Atty. Schiltz. Supervisor Jones was present by phone. Supervisor White was absent. There were five (5) people in the audience.

Palmer/Rasch motion to approve the minutes of the Dec. 14th meetings and the Dec. 21st Special Board meeting. Carried. Jones abstained.

Rasch/Palmer motion to approve payment of the bills as distributed including those distributed tonight. Carried unanimously.

Comments from the Public: none

Correspondence received by Board Members: Weiss received calls concerning snow removal issues.

Plan Commission: none

Protective Services: Chairman Weiss reported that the committee met. Joey Balsitis, Austin Smith & Jason Smith would like to attend Emergency Services Instructor class at the cost of $133/person. Rasch/Palmer motion to send all three to class. Carried.

Rasch/Palmer motion to send Bill Pearce to fire inspector class at a cost of $197. Carried.

No one will go to FF2 class as the day class is to held was changed to Monday.

Rasch/Palmer motion to allow Justin Thuecks to attend FF1 for a cost of $340 and $87 test fee. Carried.

Rasch/Palmer motion to allow the Department to spend up to $7,500 from donated funds for full dress uniforms. Carried.

Highway Committee: no meeting

Harbor Commission: no meeting

Buildings & Grounds: met, but nothing to bring to Board

Public Parks: no meeting – TallGrass will begin winter work in park

GLEA: office moved, Thank-you for use of the fire boat to complete plant survey, erosion control complaint on Forest Rest that the County is handling

Geneva Lake Use: no meeting

 Updated drug policy: Atty. Schiltz “tweeked” policy from Town of Bloomfield. Town can do random testing if they choose. Supervisor Jones left at 7:25. The policy is more comprehensive and definitive than our current policy. Rasch asked if #9 was permissible because of HIPPA. Include this on next agenda with recommended changes.

Rasch/Palmer motion to adjourn. Carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:35 pm.
