Linn Sanitary District Business Meeting
June 11, 2008
Present: Ted Peters, Tess Adams, Jim Livingston, Richard Scholze, and Karen Nordsieck.
- Ted Peters called the meeting to order at 7:05PM.

- Motion to accept May 14th Meeting Minutes J. Livingston/ T. Adams CU
- Motion to accept May 14th Treasurers Report with date change T. Peters/ J. Livingston CU
- Old Business
- T. Peters attended the last FWWPCC and said Fontana still did not comment on his request. The commission did ask T. Peters if the seasonal south shore residents in the planning area would be ok with a minimum monthly billing amount. The commissioners said they would need a minimum billing to cover expenses of running their facility year around. Ted said they discussed the costs of us coming into the treatment plant. He asked if the commission would entertain the idea of Linn Sanitary District simply paying for the treatment of the waste instead of buying into the whole plant, which would include a percentage of their capital costs. Anwser pending.
- T. Peters asked for reimbursement of his WOWRA Conference.
Motion to reimburse T. Peters for half of the cost of the conference $87.50 J. Livingston/T. Adams CU
- Government Investment Pool report was handed out. We were vested May 29 th.
- Letter regarding all illegal systems should be sent as soon as possible excluding the south shore planning area. T. Peters will send Karen a list without the south shore in it.

- Discussion and action on bills.

- Batch System Report was not discussed because Mark was absent.
Motion to table Baxter & Woodmans Report on Decentralized Systems for the South Shore Planning Area T. Peters/J/ Livingston CU
- South Shore Meeting should be scheduled sometime in the future when we know more.
- The newsletter that was previously emailed to the commissioners for their review was discussed. There were some minor corrections made. The draft will be fixed and presented again for action. We will take it to a bulk mailer. T. Peters will try to get a current list of the residents in the district for the mailing.
- Commissioners Report. T. Peters spoke to David Bollwig hoping to expand the commission to 5 commissioners. Legally there can be only be three commissioners.
- Next meeting July 9th.
