- Old Business
- J. Livingston had not attended the Lake Geneva Utility Commission Meeting. T. Peters had attended one of their meetings. He felt there was really nothing to gain by going. T. Peters suggested J. Livingston simply mail the letter and skip the meeting.
- North Shore status update. The Knollwood subdivision has done their own survey of their association regarding sewers for the area. Knollwood has 131 improved parcels 92 responded to the survey with 70 against and 22 in favor of the project for their area. T. Peters was also told that of the 20 homes in Elgin Club, 50% were against the project. Rowena Park did not really have a need for sewers. T. Peters and J. Livingston agreed it is important to identify the 48 unknown systems. This will be done by the County in their yearly maintenance program.
Motion to discontinue the pursuit of sewers for the North Shore Planning Area T Peters/J. Livingston CU
- T. Peters went to the last FWWPCC meeting. Fontana still was unable to answer Ted’s question about allowing Linn into the treatment plant. Their inability to give an answer seemed to mean to Ted that it will be unlikely. Fontana indicated they would be willing to provide sewers to the sewer service area but at this time they could not say by whom. Maple Hills has the strip of land that is prohibiting Fontana from annexing any further and they are unwilling to sell it.
Ted spoke to David Rasmussen who said we could come into their treatment plant as a customer of Walworth and not go through the commission. Ted asked if Fontana commissioners would still have to agree to that and he said yes. Fontana has the ability to stop us either way.
David Bollwig dropped by and discussed the North Shore, border agreements, and the hot spots on south shore that need sewering. T. Peters gave him a copy of the illegal system letter.
Motion to have Baxter & Woodman further investigate decentralized system alternatives. T. Peters/ J. Livingston CU
There will continue to be talks with the Fontana /Walworth treatment plant.
- WOWRA Conference tabled.
- Government Investment Pool update. All commissioners are in favor of funding the new account. $50,000.00 will be transferred by the next meeting. Credit Card is active and we have internet banking.
- New Business
- Discussion and action on bills.
Motion to pay bills as presented T. Peters/J. Livingston CU
- Illegal System Letter Draft was past out. The property owners received the report on their systems with the bill for the inspection. (Rich will investigate proper codes) T. Peters said only 2% of the illegal system owners have fixed their system. Ted will email the list to Karen. Karen to update illegal system list and take out the 2%. T. Peters will show the letter to the Town Board and to the County for approval.
Motion for Ted Peters to proceed sending out Draft Illegal Systems Letter with code and statute changes T. Peters /T.Adams CU
- South Shore update. There is no reason for a meeting at this time until we know more. Ted suggested we put together a newsletter to update everyone on what we are doing. T. Peters will put together an outline and hopefully we can send out something in June.
- Tax numbers for the Maintenance Program were taken to the County by Jim April 14 th. The duplicates would be caught and eliminated. Ted will contact the county to try and get a more up to date tax key list.
